The hotel’s historic front was painstakingly restored as part of the makeover, which also involved redesigning the lobby and updating all 343 of the rooms and suites. The goal of the design was to preserve the hotel’s Belle Époque character while adding subtly contemporary elements. Modern technology, custom furnishings, and opulent materials were all expertly combined to make sure the Carlton remains a symbol of luxury for another century.
